Been working on skills this week.
Put some skills that were missing or only half working into the game, as well as some entirely custom attributes for skills.
Previously Existed:
The Fire>Fire Skill Dodge got fixed.
Earthquake for Axe now Stuns for a few seconds, preventing all movements entirely on Monsters and preventing just attacking and skills on players. (They can still jump, use potions, ect.)
Instead of putting Freezing Arrow on regular attacks and having archers be able to keep a person locked down infinitely, I put Stun on Rapid Fire for any 2nd Reborn Archers.
Completely New:
I like how the Axe skill DOES something other than damage.
I don't think any of these changes will make any of the weapons go "Mainstream", but I think it will add a bit more flavor to the game and give people stuff to experiment with.
Vampiric Attribute for the Hook Skill Siezer.
Hit a mob or Player, drain 1/4th the damage done to your own HP pool.
Mana Stealing Attribute for the Scepter Skill Celestial.
Hit a player to drain varying amounts of MP to your own Mana Pool.
Armor Piercing Attribute for the Dagger Skill Penetration.
When penetration goes off it lowers Targets defense for 3 Seconds from ALL incoming physical damage.*
Slowdown Attribute for the Hammer Skill Boom.
Same as Dagger Skill but for Ranged Damage.*
* Both Armor Piercing and Slowdown increase all incoming damage of the relative type (Physical for dagger and Ranged for Hammer) done to the Guild Pole as well.
Magic Attack Lowering Attribute for the Sword and Backsword Skill Phoenix. (Sword is already good so not a very good bonus for it)
Target's Magic attack gets cut in half for a few seconds after Phoenix goes off. Works on Players and Messengers and things like the Dragonlings that use magic.
Fires still seem like they don't play a very prominent role, So maybe some debuffs of this type may come soon for Lesser-used Fire Tao Skills like FireMeteor. Fire Tao as a De-buffer and Water as a Buffer seems like a natural direction to go for.
With the possibility of a patch for the client on the horizion I'd like to get these done so I can update the client's descriptions as well.
