Here's a guide on the best ways to level up and get a good start.
First thing: You can use the Vote NPC In the middle of Twin City to get Double EXP for one hour and Blessing which adds an additional 20%.
(Optional: Join a good guild. Being in a guild with a high donation can get you up to 2x EXP, and an additional 2x EXP if that guild has won Guild War.)
A tip for making money: Don't be afraid to run a second character to sell the loot you find.
Ok so you COULD find a high level archer to level you up fast, but you won't get good gear like that.
I recommend killing the strongest things you can still kill quickly. This guide will emphasize that.
Level 1-23 - Twin City
Leveling up should be quick at Pheasants (1-3), TurtleDoves (3-8), Robins (8-15), Poltergeists (15-23)
You can obtain a full set of refined and unique level 10 gear from one of the NPCs at the front of Twin City for 40k.
At level 15 get promoted at the Promotion Center, and receive some free items. Get promoted again at levels 40, 70, 100, 110.
Try killing lots of enemies like GameBirds, WarGhosts, BattleGhosts, GemMonsters along the way for a chance of good items while leveling up.
And be sure to always pick up loot dropped by special enemies! Some of the most sought after gear (Dmg - 7) ONLY drops from them!
You can also try doing some quests. Among other rewards, the Red TurtleDove quest gives Elite +1 armor for any class, the Find the Wedding Ring quest gives an Elite +1 Ring, and the GhostBusters quest gives Elite +1 earrings, all of which give you a very good head start if you're new.
Level 24-42 Phoenix Castle
Leveling should still be fast here, and there are lots of special mobs to get good drops from. WingedSnakes (24-28), Bandits (28-33), FireRats (33-38), Rockmonsters/GemMonsters (38-44)
Keep an eye out for special mobs like BlueElfs, Caterans. BlueElfs have one of the highest dmg -7 drop rates in the game due to their being so rare. Caterans drop an item that can be turned in for Meteors and MeteorTears, which will no doubt be useful at lower levels. And again, GemMonsters in the mine.
Other than that nothing special about these levels.
Level 44-63 Ape Mountain
Your character should start coming together at this point, you should have learned most of the skills you will get, and you should have basic gear.
The enemies you'll likely be killing are Macaques (44-48), GiantApes (48-54), Snakemen (54-63).
Keep an eye out for SmartMonkeys, SnowApes.
You can do the Ape City Takeover quest for an elite +1 necklace and other level assist items.
That's about it for AC
Level 63 up to 92 Desert City
Here You'll be killing Sandmonsters (63-67), Hillmonsters (67-72), ToughMonsters (72-76), BladeGhosts (76-82), RockMonsters in the mine (82-92) (Though I recommend BirdIsland much earlier.
SandMonsters are annoying to hit, but they have a chance to drop a MagicLamp, which can yield a great reward whether right clicked or turned in to the quest NPC. Sandmonster Aides, Messengers and Kings have a higher MagicLamp drop rate.
Keep an eye out for a special SandMonster called a SandDevil, they drop dmg -7s. Other specials: MountMonster, EvilBlade.
Equipment Quest available here: Broken Sword. Reward: Elite +1 boots.
Here is where you have several options to level up.
Level 85-100 Bird Island OR
Enemies to kill: Birdmen (85-92), Hawking (92-98), Bandits (98-100)

Downside: No quests, No special mobs.
Level 85+ Lab
Ideal for Trojans/Warriors level 85-120, Enemies are melee and come in large groups.
You can gather 10 diamonds and right click one for extra profit.
Keep an eye out for lab bosses, they have the best drops in the game.
Level 90-99 MoonPlatform
One of the most densely packed places in the game, it costs a MeteorTear to get in.
Here you will have huge groups to scatter, and keep KO counters going.
100-120 MysticCastle
MysticCastle is an option for leveling just about any 100+ character, but lab or AdventureZone is usually preferred.
Enemies to look out for: GreenDevil, UberDiablo
120+ FrozenGrotto
120+ Metzone Mine Basement
Other ways to make money:
Metzone. Venture far out into adventure zone and you'll find MeteorDoves. Some MeteorDoves drop 5 Meteors at once!
Also check out the WaterDevil map for an enemy that ALWAYS drops a DB.
Skymaze. Dodge Dragons. Get Rewards.
Mining. This can actually be decent money if your patient.
EvilDragonLord. Kill him for a +2 Stone every time.
